Nick is such a copycat! Once he saw his Daddy in this chair he decided it was now his chair and he sits (for a second) in the chair... rolls out .. runs around and comes back to sit for a brief moment. He plays hard... and rests hard...

Climb Every Mountain....

So Nick's new thing is climbing on top of everything, up everything, and just trying to go head first off of everything! He hasn't fell on top of his head... yet, but he sure is trying hard. One of his favorite things to play with is his cardboard box.

Happy Birthday to ME!
I know that my birthday was last week... but I thought I'd share some things. When I was a baby my parents had my photo taken by Tom Carter (popular local photographer). He is quite expensive and they got only a few photos. He entered one of the photos that he had taken in a contest and won with my picture. My grandparents and parents had tried to purchase the portrait, but he wanted quite an amount for it.... SO they didn't buy the picture. I have often wondered over the years if he still had the picture at his studio. I have mentioned it from time to time. Long story short - Tony gave me the photo for my birthday! I was so shocked and surprised! I would have never guessed that he had gotten it from Mr. Carter. How thoughtful!So... when I was in kindergarten, my teacher (Ms. Mitchell) would let us go in the prize chest and she had books by Roger Hargreaves. I loved to get these little books... ANYWHO years later, Amy and I are in a local store (Polka Dots) and I come across them again.... only they are 4 bucks a piece and the chency person I am won't splurge on them... fast forward a little later and there is a HUGE fire in downtown Milton... ruins many of the businesses and causes much smoke damage. Polka Dots has many items on sale due to smoke damage etc. and Amy happens upon the books! She buys them and gives them to me for my birthday. How sweet is that? Not only are they books I LOVE, but they have some historical memories to them as well. They are stained from the smoke of the fire. The cover of the books was white and now are discolored. They have a great little story behind them:o) Thank you Amy! I love my books:o)
So I had thought my mother in law had gotten me one arm weight when I was unwrapping my gift... but no it was a vase! A waterford crystal vase. It is VERY heavy. I am going to buy a couple of Knockout Roses with some of the cashola given to me from my Mom, Mawmaw Blocker, and Al and Betty and then I will have fresh roses in my vase!

Vroooom!!!
So the Daytona 500 was rained out and what else was there to watch? Nick decided we were going to watch Cars. Don't know if many of you adults have seen it, but it is a really cute movie and he LOVES it! He shared his goldfish with Precious... yeah they are pretty tight now.. she loves him. I don't know why I was ever SO worried about how they'd get along. She is a good big sister!

After CARS was over, Tony shared with us that he can get online with our television. Yes, our tv screen is the computer screen. So Nick could see himself and he really liked that. I don't really know how it works... I think he used the playstation? Not sure!

Nick's new thing is eating cheese from the can on crackers. He learned this from his Papa. His Papa squirts the cheese in his mouth... it's really cute. I haven't mastered that just yet, so I put it on the cracker and Nick LOVES it!

Nick likes to wear hats... especially his Daddy's hat.

Nick likes to feed himself... He likes to feed himself Spaghetti....
and cheesy crackers
He is serious about his food...

....and when he's finished eating, it's time for a bath!

Nick LOVES his little hat that he got from Debby Lewis (D-Ma)... Isn't it cute? It was actually cold enough for him to wear it quite a few times this year.
Happy Birthday, Tony! We got back from Texas in time to Celebrate his birthday. I made him an ice cream cake that looked like a poker chip.

Nick had fun playing with the bow from Tony's present.

Daniel, Amy, Lilli, and Lynda came over to celebrate!

We went to my cousin's wedding in Texas recently. This was Nick's second wedding. It was probably the most beautiful wedding I've ever attended and I had the most fun on our trip. I enjoyed getting to know Liezel's (Jayson's wife) family. It was like 30 degrees on Thursday and then all of the sudden it was 65ish and sunny on Friday (they were married on a Friday). It was meant to be!

Isn't she pretty? Liezel is the sweetest person... I am so happy that she is a part of our family.

Me and Becky having fun at the reception...

Ethan, Zack, and Jarod

Justin was really cute giving his speech when it was time to toast...

Liezel's matron of honor gave a good speech as well... She was quite the comedian. I enjoyed meeting her and her husband.

Here's my two favorite guys! Aren't they handsome?

My little guy was sweet enough to dance with his Mommy. He was such a good little sport on our trip.

Alyssa and Alexis came over for a play date at the end of January. We had McDonald's for lunch. The kids enjoyed their burgers, fries, and nuggets:o) It was a special treat!

Happy Birthday!
Nick's Papa surprised him with a set of golf clubs for his birthday. It won't be long before he will be able to play. He has practiced putting a little in our living room. As he gets taller, the shaft on his clubs extend. Isn't that cool? He has a wedge, putter, and 5 wood. It came with a matching bag.
They are really nice!

I made Nick a Monkey cake for his birthday. This is the first time that I've made a cake and there were NO leftovers!

Happy Birthday, Mr. Nicholas!!!

Nick had fun opening his presents at his party. He had some help from his friends. He's not a pro just yet... He liked playing with the tissue paper.

He is a pro at eating cake!

I know.... It's been so long since I've updated that I've done the birthday pictures backwards!
